Household Asset Documentation
Household Asset Documentation
A professionally structured record of everything your home contains, ready when your insurer needs it.
Most households are properly insured. Very few are properly documented. We handle the difference, entirely on your behalf.
What happens when documentation is missing
In a significant loss event such as a fire, flood, theft, or structural damage, your insurer works from evidence. A verbal account of what you owned is not evidence, nor are photographs taken after the fact or rough estimates of replacement value.
What qualifies as evidence is a structured, itemized, dated record created before the loss occurred, and most high-net-worth households do not have one.
This is rarely a matter of neglect or inattention. Building a defensible, comprehensive household inventory requires time, methodical care, and precise knowledge of what insurance carriers actually need — none of which most households can reasonably set aside for a task of this kind.
How the engagement works
Household Asset Documentation is a managed, end-to-end engagement. We do the work, and you review and approve the deliverable.
We begin with a structured consultation to understand your property, your current documentation posture, any prior claims experience, and your insurance program. We establish scope and confirm the engagement.
Our principal conducts a comprehensive survey of your home's contents, moving through each room in turn and covering every category: furniture, art, electronics, appliances, clothing, kitchenware, outdoor equipment, and personal property throughout the property.
We build a structured, categorized inventory organized by room and item type, with each entry including a description, estimated replacement value, and photographic documentation. Purchase records, receipts, and prior appraisals are integrated wherever they are available.
We produce an Insurance Readiness Memo that cross-references your documented inventory against your current coverage, identifying alignment, gaps, and items that may require scheduled endorsements or additional riders.
Your completed documentation package is delivered in a secure, encrypted digital vault organized for immediate accessibility, with ownership transferred to you at engagement close and a physical backup provided on an encrypted drive.
What you receive
At the close of the engagement, you hold a complete, professionally structured documentation package:
- Itemized household inventory, organized by room and category
- Standardized photographic and video documentation
- Integrated purchase records and appraisal references
- Insurance Readiness Memo with coverage alignment analysis
- Encrypted digital vault, access-controlled, cloud-redundant, and transferred to your ownership

Your documentation is formatted for direct submission to insurance carriers and structured for use in estate planning and long-term property management.
Pricing and availability
The scope and fee are estimated following an initial consultation based on property size and room count, and confirmed after the in-home visit. Our standards are high and we accept only a limited number of engagements per season, with current availability confirmed at intake.
